OREGON JEWISH MUSEUM

The Oregon Jewish Museum is offering unpaid graduate and/or undergraduate Collections, Exhibitions, and Archival internships for Fall, Winter and Spring 2007-2008.
OJM interns work closely with museum staff on varied collections and exhibitions projects to gain insight into the workings of museums. Tasks include, but are not limited to: exhibition and collection research, processing archival collections, cataloging collections, data entry, digitizing and cataloging photographic collections, gallery preparation, and artifact handling.
Candidates must be able to handle objects with extreme care, write neatly, work with detailed numbering systems, keep accurate and clear records, and handle moderately heavy objects. Interested students should be working toward a degree in history, art history, material culture, Jewish studies, museum studies, or anthropology. Previous museum or gallery experience is not required.
If you are interested please contact Anne LeVant Prahl curator@ojm.org, 503/226-3600
